Trial production of headed product: 15 pcs/lot
Material: SUS304
We used a large press because the total length of the product was 175 mm long.
Because we were punching the hex socket into the final machined form, we were worried
about overwidening the section under the head after pressing.
Furthermore, the depth of the prepared hole was deeper than the designated effective depth
of the hex socket by only 0.5 mm. Clearance of the swarf was taken care of by changing the shape of the punch tip.
We ended up with a fine finish without widening the section under the head.
